NEWS: Ranveer Allahbadia is in Deep Trouble! Police from Multiple States on His Trail, B Praak Refuses, and Dhruv Rathee Criticizes!
What started as an internet boycott has now reached the Parliament. Celebrities have begun canceling their shows with these influencers. Police complaints have been filed in multiple states, and FIRs have also been registered. Other internet influencers are speaking out about maintaining the dignity of comedy, while angry netizens are demanding Ranveer’s arrest.
Amidst all this, on the night of February 10, around 7:04 PM, Assam’s Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma shared a post stating that the Guwahati Police had registered an FIR against several YouTubers and social influencers. The names mentioned in the FIR include Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, Apoorva Makheja, Ranveer Allahbadia, and Samay Raina.
Additionally, the FIR also includes other individuals involved in promoting obscenity and indecent discussions on India’s Got Talent. The Guwahati Crime Branch has taken action under the Indian Penal Code 2023 (Sections 79, 95, 294, 296), the IT Act 2000 (Section 67), the Cinematograph Act 1952 (Section 47), and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act 1986 (Section 46).
Apart from the FIR, other influencers and celebrities are also reacting to Ranveer’s vulgar comments. Singer B Praak even canceled his appearance on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast show. In a video statement, B Praak said, “I was supposed to go on the BeerBiceps show, but we canceled it. You all know how problematic their thinking is. The kind of language used on Samay Raina’s show does not represent our Indian culture. What kind of stories are you telling about your parents? This is not comedy at all! Teaching people to abuse, making vulgar jokes—what kind of generation are we creating?”
He further questioned a Sikh guest on the show, saying, “You are a Sikh. Does this behavior suit you? We have a problem with your use of abusive language, and we always will.”
Addressing Ranveer Allahbadia directly, he said, “You promote Sanatan Dharma, you talk about spirituality, and such big personalities come on your podcast, yet you have such a cheap mindset? Friends, if we don’t stop these things now, our children’s future will be at stake. I request everyone to preserve our culture.”
Amidst this controversy, Dhruv Rathee also commented on the disgrace surrounding India’s Got Talent. In his discussion, he even took a jab at Ranbir Kapoor’s movie Animal, calling it just as problematic as Samay Raina’s show.
Dhruv wrote, “What is being passed off as dark comedy today is absolute nonsense. Disgusting content is being served to the public just for views, which has a dangerous impact on the moral development of the younger generation. However, demanding government bans is not the solution, as that could lead to excessive censorship. Instead, we need to put pressure on content creators to produce better-quality content.”
He compared the impact of India’s Got Talent to that of Animal, arguing that both contribute to society's moral decline.
